Andy Thomas - Instructor (M.S.D.T)
A little about Andy...
I have always wanted to be a diver, I have been swimming from a very young age and always loved being around water. I remember as a toddler staring at my dads fish tank for hours and taking out the plastic diver ornament and making him "dive" in the bath.
I did my first try dive when I was 12 and knew it was something I would do some day. In 2003 I took my first step into diver education and took my Open Water course completing my qualification dives in the infamous Stoney Cove.
Since then I have dived in Cyprus, Malta, Egypt and many places around the UK. I consider myself an active UK diver regularly diving anywhere from the South West coast to the North East and many places in between.
Some of my best diving so far has been in the UK, diving with seals in the Farne Isles, these creatures are huge, there so playful and inquisitive, its a magical experience to be in the water with them and I would recommend it to anyone.
My passion for the underwater world led me down the path of becoming an instructor, this way I can pass on my enthusiasm for this incredible sport. |
